PARVATI is ;;
--- SWEET ;; Parvati is generally a very nice girl to anyone that she meets. Her philosophy is that people should be treated kindly--it's the easiest way to get by, and it's hard to find a mean bone in her body. There are times, though, when she finds herself unintentionally unkind. For example, she may think someone is wearing something silly and giggle, but she'd be much more interested in "fixing" their appearance than belittling it. Other than that, though, Parvati is a real sweetheart. She's very prone to wanting to jump in and help people when they're down, as well as try and protect the underdog (even if she often finds herself in that position, herself).
--- UNINTELLIGENT ;; She may have specific strengths but, in general, Parvati is not the strongest of students. Two things that have come naturally to her are divination and transfiguration. Her training in Dumbledore's Army has give her defense against the dark arts prowess, as well. Other than that, though, Parvati is just happy passing her classes. She's never been nearly as smart as her twin; in addition, she's not one to put all of her focus in to her work. Her hours in class are often spent passing notes, dozing off, or daydreaming about the dreamy boy across the room. Theory and such has never come easily to Parvati. Application, though, is much easier. Divination is simple for her in the fact that it is open to so much personal interpretation. Without set rules and such, it's easier to come up with her own answers.
--- EMOTIONAL ;; It would not be accurate to say that Parvati is prone to mood swings, per se. But she does tend to get stuck in moods. She is very prone to what others say of her, and she tends to get self-conscious and sad from personal attacks. These things, especially, can leave her in a bad mood for a while. It should be noted that, while Parvati is prone to going from happy to sad, she is not one to get angry very often. Any fiery side that she might possess usually only comes out in defending others (beyond, of course, things such as battles and the like). Mostly, things that should probably make her angry would simply make her sad. Either way, Parvati is controlled more than she'd like by her mood.

Parvati and Padma Patil's parents were positively passionate for P-names. That was how it would seem, anyway. When the twin girls were born, both were given first and and middle names to match their surname--making each of their initials PPP. Beyond that and her existence as a twin, Parvati would say that she had a relatively simple childhood. While Indian, Parvati's parents were far from traditional in any way. Any customs that Parvati were steeped in were mostly in appearance (everyone likes to dress up in relation to their culture), cooking, and other simple things like that. Nothing of particular interest happened in Parvati's life until she went to Hogwarts, beginning with her surprise at being sorted separately from her twin (as classes started, this quickly made sense).
Parvati was happy to lay somewhat low throughout most of her schooling. She was, at most, entirely average in all of her courses but three: divination, defense against the dark arts, and transfiguration. She was excited to find that she "had the makings of a true seer" (and from her favorite teacher, no less). She has continued to pursue it, but no real visions as of yet, unfortunately. A girl can hope, right? Though she and her sister had been described as beautiful, Parvati never did much in the ways of dating (though she did have to deal with the wild romantic antics of her best friend, Lavender Brown). Like many of her housemates, Parvati was quick to join Dumbledore's Army along with Padma in her fifth year. She obviously hasn't regretted it, as it helped her a lot in the final battle at Hogwarts.
The wizarding war very much changed Parvati's perspective on things. She had always held her friends and loved ones in high regard, but she held them ever the more closer since the war's end. Even those that she hadn't been on good terms with, Parvati suddenly felt a strong camaraderie with those others that had fought alongside the order. Obviously, she was sad at the losses for a long while afterward. Parvati had not been used to loss before then, so it hit her hard. One might say she was even growing a little clingy toward those she held in high regard (that is, simply wanting to know where they are and that they were safe). Now in her legitimate seventh year (she had learned next-to-nothing during the death eater's occupation of Hogwarts), Parvati is working just a bit harder than usual. As one might expect, she is enrolled in N.E.W.T.-level courses in divination, transfiguration, and defense against the dark arts. The free time sounded great at first, but Parvati is finding that she's got more homework lately than a social life. She's still enjoying herself, though.
Oh, boy. Belle could tell who it was that had walked toward her before she looked up. He cast a rather large shadow. It was hard to say whether Belle liked or disliked Gaston. On the one hand, he was very nice to her. He always treated her politely and complimented her very often. As it would seem, Gaston was very enamored with Belle. While it was awkward sometimes, she was certainly flattered. On the other hand, despite all of that, he didn't seem to be the nicest of men around. He was very taken within himself, notoriously sexist, and tended to dislike some people for no particular reason (or out of jealousy). Gaston didn't seem very smart, either, but Belle wouldn't actually worry about that. After all, she really wasn't very smart at all, herself. Upon arriving with his gun and...bag, it seemed to Belle that he looked sort of...expectant. She wasn't quite sure what he was looking for, though. All she could offer was a small smile and, "...Hello, Gaston." What was really going through her mind, though, was the curiosity toward the lumps in that sack. She did not like the looks of it.
Sitting down next to Belle was all well in good. In fact, had Gaston not taken it upon himself to do so, Belle might have offered herself. It should be noted that the aforementioned action would be taken out of politeness, along with the fact that Belle did not imagine Gaston leaving of his own accord. It was not particular desire to strike up a conversation. What was not exactly fine was the arm that was working its way around her shoulder. She did nothing in particular to stop it for the moment. However, she did lean slightly away from Gaston once he sat down. That was mostly the cologne, though. Even diluted and somewhat washed away from the rain, Belle was a fan of neither cologne nor perfume. They were all too strong for her. The rain was a much nicer smell.
That aside, there was a conversation to focus on. It would take her mind off of it, at least. "It is pretty unfortunate. There was a lot of stuff that I wanted to do today." Belle thought about the chores that she had to do for that day. Obviously, laundry wouldn't be on the list. It couldn't exactly be hung out to dry. There was a lot to do, but that wasn't to say that her father wasn't helping. In fact, he was working harder than she was. He just obviously didn't make as much as he had as a merchant. "I can't get home to clean until this rain lets up some. I was hoping to finish some garments, too." It wasn't exactly a job. But it was a way to pick up a bit of extra money, when she had the free time to make something. "So, um..." Belle's brow furrowed a bit in apprehension as she looked toward Gaston's mysterious sack. "What's--I mean, if you don't mind me asking, what's...in that...?" She wasn't sure whether 'bag', 'sack', or some other word was most appropriate. So, Belle instead simply let her voice trail off and pointed to the thing.
