Dear Mr. Hall,
As you may remember from your own experience, Hogwarts sends letters to first year Muggleborns not with an owl but with an adult Witch or Wizard to provide additional information, reassurance, and assistance as may be required. This is a necessary service, as I am sure you can imagine that non-Magical parents are often skeptical about the revelation of a hidden magical world, and when belief is established are entirely ignorant of how to prepare their child for his or her education.
Under normal circumstances the Hogwarts faculty can attend to most of these visits, but the extensive rebuilding that has gone on in the last two years has significantly shortened the vacation time our staff has been able to take as it is, and I am reluctant to ask for more sacrifices of time, when it has been so long since many of them have had time to tend to their affairs and see their families.
Therefore, it has been my decision to ask for the assistance of recent Muggleborn Hogwarts graduates in this task. Your name was given to me by Deputy Headmaster Flitwick when I asked him for recommendations. If you have any interest in participating or would like more information, please contact me by return owl to arrange a time to meet.
Yours Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall Headmistress

Dear Professor McGonagall,
I would be utterly delighted to present Hogwarts letters to muggle-born students. I feel honored that Professor Flitwick thought of me for this job! I vividly remember the day that I was presented with my letter... it is a day that changed my life and I cannot express how wonderful it would be for me to do that for other young wizards.
When would be convenient for you to meet with me? I am sure that your schedule is much more constraining then mine is. I do take classes during the week, but I usually have lunchtime and evenings off, and I am free on the weekends. I am totally flexible so whatever works best for you will do for me.
Thank you, Samson Alexander Hall

Dear Mr. Hall,
Thank you for helping us. I don’t want to take up your weekends, as I’m sure you have somewhere more fun to be than meeting with an old Professor. How’s lunch on Thursday? I would offer to meet you in Cambridge, but there are no Wizarding establishments there, and I believe the subject we intend to discuss must be kept from Muggle ears. We could meet at the Three Broomsticks, or would you prefer London?
Yours Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall Headmistress

Dear Professor McGonagall,
Thursday is excellent, as is The Three Broomsticks.
