Percy is ;;
--- AMBITIOUS ;; "Course, he's very ambitious, Percy, he's got it all planned out ... he wants to be Minister for Magic ..." (Ron Weasley on Percy) Percy wants one thing more than anything else in his life, and that is to one day be the Minister for Magic. He is highly ambitious; he sticks to his goals no matter what, even if it means sacrificing his relationship with his family. Percy can be described as a social climber – he wishes to achieve the highest level of recognition possible. However, his ambition can create barriers between him and those whom he loves most as he shuts out anyone he thinks will stand in his way. Essentially, Percy would like nothing better to be better than he currently is, even if it means cutting off those who love him.
--- PROUD ;; "Dumbledore says people find it far easier to forgive others for being wrong than being right." (Hermione Granger) Percy is very proud of his accomplishments, and often tries to act more mature than is appropriate for his young age. As a result, he often comes off as pompous and arrogant, as he behaves stiffly and focused. He can be seen as Of course, pride can be both positive and negative. In Percy’s case, he is highly independent and happy with his successes. He is not hubristic, rather, he simply recognizes that he is doing well with his life. The fact that he is proud means that he is happy with himself. Although his pride took a dent from the failings of the Ministry two long years ago, his self confidence has returned and he is happy.
--- LOYAL ;; "He went completely berserk... He said Dad was an idiot to run around with Dumbledore, that Dumbledore was heading for big trouble and Dad was going to go down with him, and that he - Percy - knew where his loyalty lay and it was with the Ministry. And if Mum and Dad were going to become traitors to the Ministry he was going to make sure everyone knew he didn’t belong to our family any more. And he packed his bags the same night and left." (Ron Weasley on Percy) Percy’s greatest virtue is that he remains loyal to his cause. However, this can be an issue as Percy sometimes places his loyalty in whomever can offer him the most to further his goals rather than those whom he truly can trust. Once Percy chooses to place his loyalty to a person or group, he will remain loyal no matter what unless something drastic happens. In fact, it was his loyalty to the Ministry that caused him to break from his family until the final battle at Hogwarts. In addition to being loyal to his cause, Percy is also a loyal friend, and will stand by your side as long as you stand by his.

Percy Weasley was the third son born to Arthur and Molly Weasley. He was a loud baby, but nothing could compare to Fred and George, born two years after him. As he grew up, he began to realize that he was similar to Bill, but that the twins and Charlie were very different from him. After the twins came Ron, and finally Ginny. Percy tried his best to be nice to Ron and Ginny, but often found that they tended to play with the twins rather than him. That was okay, however. Percy was content to read a book to himself (once Bill and his mother helped him learn to read) instead of getting messy during whatever game the twins invented.
When Bill went off to Hogwarts, Percy couldn’t understand what was happening. His idol, his cool big brother was gone. He was left with the ‘zoo’, as he liked to call it. However, at the end of the year, Percy was ecstatic to see Bill return home. Charlie was the next to leave, and then it was Percy’s turn. His first year at Hogwarts was one of the best years of his life. His teachers loved him, he had Bill all to himself, and despite the fact that he had hand-me-down robes, it didn’t matter – they were Bill’s old robes, and wearing them made him feel that he could do anything his big brother did.
In his second year, Percy felt alone, as Bill had graduated the year before. However, he found solace in meeting Penelope Clearwater, a fellow second year in Ravenclaw. He started talking to her, and they became good friends. In his third year, the twins started at Hogwarts, and immediately began making life horrible for the academically gifted child. However, even with the distraction of his younger siblings, he continued to succeed in school. It was in his fourth year that he decided that he wanted to be Minister for Magic.
The next important event in Percy’s life happened in his fifth year, when he was made a Prefect. Ron also started at Hogwarts that year, and he spent most of the school year watching out for Ron, studying for his OWL’s, and getting to know Penelope Clearwater. In fact, after the Christmas holidays, Percy finally mustered up the courage to ask Penelope on a date to Hogsmeade. She accepted.
That summer, Percy spent almost all of his time exchanging letters with Penny, only leaving his room for meals and to see his OWL scores – of course, he received 12 OWLs. Although he didn’t make a show out of his success, inside he was ecstatic. Upon returning to school, he dove back into his Prefect duties as well as looking out for Ginny, who had finally started at Hogwarts. Once the Chamber of Secrets attacks began, he started patrolling the corridors as part of his duties, and was devastated when Penny was petrified. The only thing that shook him more that year was when his sister was taken into the Chamber of Secrets.
In the summer of 1993, Percy travelled with his family to Egypt and found out that he had been made Head Boy. His seventh year was rather uneventful, compared to the previous year despite the appearance of Sirius Black, and he managed to achieve top grades in his NEWTs.
The next year, Percy immediately began work at the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Cooperation under Bartemius Crouch Sr. He tried to prove himself to the man, carrying out whatever task he was assigned to the best of his ability. Just before Christmas that year, he was promoted to Mr Crouch’s personal assistant and carried out tasks for the man when he became supposedly ill. When issues arose concerning Mr Crouch, Percy was held accountable as it was believed that he should have known that something was wrong.
When Harry Potter claimed that Voldemort was back, Percy sided with the Ministry especially after his father accused Cornelius Fudge (to whom Percy had been promoted to Junior Assistant) of giving Percy this position in order to spy on his family. With this, Percy had a massive argument with Arthur and broke off all ties with his family, moving to London. He was the court scribe during Harry Potter’s hearing, and did not even look at him. His only communication with his family was a letter to Ron congratulating his younger brother for becoming a prefect and encouraging him to break off his friendship with Harry. Upon learning of his father’s injury caused by Nagini, he chose to ignore it.
Once he learned the truth, that Voldemort was indeed back, Percy still sided with the Ministry and continued to serve as Junior Assistant to the new Minister for Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour. That Christmas, he accompanied Scrimgeour to the Burrow and encountered his family for the first time in over a year. It was an awkward meeting, and did not end well.
While Percy was living in London, he continued his relationship with Penelope, but once the news of Voldemort’s return began to spread, Penelope would not accept Percy’s conviction to support the Ministry, and left him. Percy was devastated by this, but chose to continue his career path. In June, 1997, he attended Dumbledore’s funeral, not speaking to his family, and chose not to attend his brother Bill’s wedding later that summer despite having idolized the man as a child.
As the Death Eaters took over the Ministry and Pius Thicknesse was made the Minister for Magic as a puppet of Voldemort, Percy finally realized how corrupt his Ministry had become. He managed to contact Aberforth Dumbledore, however, and was contacted in wake of the battle at Hogwarts. When he arrived, however, he encountered almost his entire family and managed to apologize for his mistakes. His family forgave him, and he began to fight for Hogwarts and Harry Potter. During the battle, he duelled Pius Thicknesse himself, and joked that he was resigning. At that moment, an explosion occurred nearby and killed Fred. Percy was devastated, moreso than he had ever been in his life, and set off to avenge Fred. Eventually, he managed to defeat Thicknesse with the help of his father.
After the war, Percy returned to the Ministry of Magic and assumed a high ranking position under Kingsley Shacklebolt. One day, while meeting with friends at the Leaky Cauldron, he met Audrey, and started talking to her. Within a few months, the two were dating. Within a year, they were living together. Percy was completely and utterly in love. Eventually, he decided that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. However, the week before he was ready to propose to her, Harry proposed to Percy’s own sister, Ginny. Now, Percy doesn’t know what to do. He doesn’t want to ruin his sister’s happiness, but Audrey means the world to him...
There was a lot of satisfaction written across Patrick’s face to see the other man just as embarrassed as he himself had been just previously. Just seeing the horse throw Peregrine and run off brought a huge grin to the beggar’s face. His hand was smarting from the impact, but it was completely worth it. Looking down at his hand, he noted that it was turning slightly red as blood rushed into it. He then chuckled and backed up a bit, trying to put a bit of distance between him and the snotty highborn. Patrick still kept one eye warily on the horse off by the house, however. He still didn’t trust it. Horses were unpredictable beasts.
The chuckle died on his lips as the man stomped over to him, whip in hand. Patrick shied away and stared apprehensively at the whip, hoping to God that the man wouldn’t use it on him. Then he was yelled at. Patrick wrinkled his nose and brought his hands up to cover his ears.
“Bloody ‘ell, don’t need ta shout,” he mumbled, inwardly smiling at how much he had affected the highborn. It wasn’t very often that he got to play with someone like this. He supposed this was one more thing he could add to his list of accomplishments – annoying snotty highborn folk. He was proud of himself. Once he had made sense of what had been bellowed in his face, however, he raised his eyebrows in question and dropped his hands to his sides.
“Whadya mean?” Patrick asked, worried again. Violence didn’t sound too fun. In fact, he wasn’t looking forward to the answer he would get at all. Not sure what to do with his hands, he first brought his arms up folded in front of him, then changed his mind and balled his hands into fists and stayed in a defensive position in case the man decided to hit him again.
Hey there! I'm Milly. I'm 18, and I've been role playing for six and a half years. I found LMCI through an ad on the RPG-D. My favorite Harry Potter is The Prisoner of Azkaban.
