--- ATHLETIC ;; Ever since Blaine's body surfaced from the womb, he has been on a broomstick. Okay, not really, but ever since he learned how to fly, he has been. He constantly works out to keep his body in perfect shape for Quidditch, and with his athleticism comes his need for a challenge. He will take any challenge handed to him and will do his best to win at all costs. Sometimes "at all costs" can be taken entirely too literally, and he's been known to play slightly dirty on the Quidditch pitch. This side of him only comes out during Quidditch, though. He loves the sport so much that he wants to follow in his father's footsteps and be a professional Quidditch player when he finishes Hogwarts.
--- GENTLEMANLY ;; When not on the Quidditch pitch, Blaine is probably one of the most respectful people you will ever meet in your life. Of course, he has his moments where he just lets loose with the guys, but overall, he's always on guard. He grew up with a professional Quidditch player for a father and a socialite as a mother. It was only normal that he was taught the ways of being respectful and polite in the public eye. He was also taught by his father how to treat a woman. It was never good to be boastful, rude, or crude in front of any lady. Those traits were saved for when a man was with his guy friends. Around a lady he is gentle, kind, romantic, passionate, and will do anything to make a girl he gives his attentions to happy. Though, if he's given alcohol, he tends to let his gentleman side give way to his stereotypical male tendencies, but he tries to stay away from the stuff unless needed.
--- SCHOLARLY ;; Something about Blaine that surprises people is how well he keeps up with his schoolwork on top of being the Slytherin Quidditch captain. However, he is at the top of his class. As a first year, the sorting hat actually took a few minutes to decide if he would be better suited in Ravenclaw, but it had picked Slytherin due to his gentleman ways and desire to be the best at everything he did. Not to mention, because of his dark past and need for revenge in his heart.
BLAINE'S patronus is an ;; owl
BLAINE'S boggart takes the form of ;; bright green light
BLAINE adores ;; Quidditch, manners, expensive clothes, the beach, school, potions, respectable girls, high society, snakes, money, competition
BLAINE abhors ;; skanky girls, people with no ambition, drunk people, spiders, divination, pumpkins, when anyone but Slytherin wins something (house cup or quidditch cup), losing, failing, falling
Blaine was born to Trenton and Amelia Morris on August 2nd. He was their pride and joy from the day he was born, and still continued to be. Blaine's life was about as perfect as anyone could wish there's to be. That is, except that his father was never home. You see, Trenton Morris played professional Quidditch for Bulgaria, and had attended Durmstrang in his schooling days. His mother had attended that school, as well, so naturally, the family thought they were something based on what they had.
Because of their ways, Blaine was brought up learning that he was better than people of a lower financial status, though he never felt that to be the case. Of course, he doesn't like muggles because he finds them weird, but other than that? Blood status never really mattered to him. However, he never mentioned that to his parents. After all, he did believe being a pureblood meant you were more of a wizard than those lesser than you, but being a wizard didn't necessarily make you a good person. Anyways, back to his history. After a few years of playing for Bulgaria, Trenton had gotten traded to the Manchester team and he had picked up his family and moved them to Brighton, England. It was an uppity up sort of place, and they lived on the outskirts of it. If one was to see their house, it would rival that of the Malfoy Manor, from what he had been told, though he had never seen it.
Blaine had been about 3 years old and loved the big house all to himself when one day, his mother sat him down and told him that she was having a baby girl. He threw a fit. He didn't want some stupid girl running around the house and messing up everything. In a 3 year old's mind, a girl would only mess up his life, and boy did she. Once baby Natalia was born, Blaine's life did change, but not how he had expected it to. He expected to hate this little girl, but when his mother put her in his arms, instead of dropping her, as he had intended to do, he held her and absolutely fell in love with the little girl. From that point on, Blaine had made it his job to protect her when no one else would. He taught her how to talk, how to fly, and almost everything she'd need to know when she got to Hogwarts.
Once Blaine reached school, though, his life changed yet again. He wrote home every day to check on his sister, but something didn't feel right. That year, over Christmas break he went home and found his parents nowhere to be found. He yelled through the house only to have his sister appear out of nowhere and pull him into the stair cupboard with her. There was only a vent for them to see out of. Shortly after he had been pulled in, he saw a man walking through his house that he had never seen before. Despite his sister's pleas, the 11 year old boy pushed his sister behind some clothes in the cupboard and walked out, asking him just what he was doing in there. He turned his head to the side and saw none other than his mum standing there with terror in her eyes.
The Death Eater, that Blaine would later find out the man to be called, had been there after his mother. She had apparently said the wrong thing to the wrong person and the death eater had come to make her pay. Blaine would have none of it. Using the only spell he had learned defensively so far at Hogwarts, he pulled out his wand and used Expelliarmus. The death eater just laughed at him as he deflected the spell and put the crucio curse on him. It was the worst pain Blaine had ever been in in his entire life, and as soon as his body hit the floor when the spell had stopped, he looked up to see a bright green light and his mother's body hit the floor. He cried his eyes out as the man disapparated out of the house. Ever since, he had never been the same.
Now, a seventh year Slytherin, Blaine still keeps that family secret from anyone he meets. Of course, people know his mother is dead, but he refuses to tell people why, or even that he witnessed it. It eats at him on a regular basis, but he never lets it show. He doesn't trust anyone anymore and won't talk with people about anything deeper than schoolwork. At least, most people. Blaine hopes he can find someone someday to help him work out the pain in his heart, but until then, he just waits. He's simply abiding his time until he can get out in the real world and get his revenge. Oh, and play a lot of professional Quidditch. That part would be good, too.
{recycled.}Tonight was the night of the party of the year hosted by none other than her best friend... and where was Marley? Sound asleep in her dream land. Yes, everyone else had managed to make it out to the party besides Marley. When she awoke to find that everyone was gone, she had freaked out momentarily. Why? Oh, because she was the only person probably in the school that wasn't down at that party. She was honestly surprised Roxy hadn't woken her on the way out, but maybe she just hadn't seen her? After all, her curtains had been closed.
It wasn't entirely her fault that she was late. It also had a lot to do with the fact that she had spent yet another night up studying. But now that exams were over, she had felt like a weight had been lifted off of her and her body had basically walked itself to her dorm, laid down in bed, and drifted off to sleep all day. No one had seen her. She hadn't seen anyone else. She stretched her muscles and smiled. For once, she wasn't feeling as weak as usual. Maybe her condition on top of lack of sleep had been what was holding her back. All she really needed was sleep, though she was trying to teach herself to hold down food, to only a little avail. Though it was slight to say the least.
But that wasn't the point of tonight. Tonight was Sebastian Belby's birthday and Roxy's end of the year party. Marley hopped up out of bed, changed, did her hair, and all that other jazz, slid on her heels and made her way to the forbidden forest. She could hear the music blasting as soon as she walked onto the grounds. Roxy had definitely gone all out. Marley had declined her offer for her to help this year due to O.W.L.'s, but Roxy hadn't seemed mad at her about it. At least, she hoped she wasn't.
Marley made her rounds, seeing people, and even walking up to Sebastian, with a smile. "Happy Birthday!" She said, with a smile, noticing the pink tiara. "I suppose that tiara is a decoration from the princess herself? I'm going to go find her. Have a wonderful birthday!" She said, making things short and sweet. Sure, she knew who he was and they were okay friends, but he was closer with Roxy. Marley had just been around him a few times. She turned her head and fixed her turquoise dress, looking around for anyone that might know where Roxy was... that is, until she saw the brunette herself.
Roxy was always the charmer. Her dress was beautiful. Marley looked down at herself and smiled. Roxy had picked out her dress in an attempt to make Jace fall all over her. Marley had told her best friend about their fighting and she had seen the dress as a chance for other guys who liked her to find her and talk to her, but Marley had secretly wanted to wear it to see Jace's reaction. She was sick of the fighting, and either they were going to make up, or break up. Hey, that rhymed. However, she hadn't seen him, and Roxy was the most important person at this party in her opinion. She'd find Jace later.
Marley made her way to her best friend and smiled, reaching and grabbing the bottle out of her hand. "Really? You didn't save me even a sip? Whoorrre." She said, with a smile, wrapping her arms around her best friend. "You're really outdone yourself, Roxy. This party is kick-ass." She said, looking around and taking in the bonfire, the tents, the lights, just everything. She pulled away from the hug and reached and grabbed a glass of a pink drink. Leave it to Roxy to make sure there were pink drinks. She took a sip and smiled as the alcohol reached her throat. This was going to be a good night. Marley's eyes turned, however, as Evan Windspar walked up to the two of them. Marley didn't know him, really, she had just seen him around. Marley looked from Evan, to Roxy, back to Evan, then back to Roxy. "Ummm, I'm going to go find Jace. Any idea where he's at?" She asked, making up an excuse to leave Roxy to this very attractive boy that seemed to be wanting her attention.
