[/i] It was small, but rather juicy gossip. She was pretty sure lots of people knew already though nobody had printed it in the papers yet. Folding it up and placing it in her purse, she hoped that nobody had seen that little sneak peak of her article. She scowled at the thought of her colleague, Rita, stealing her gossip. Lyra disliked the woman. Her articles were completely different from hers, and Lyra knew that Rita was always trying to get into her room to find some gossip that she didn't have. Lyra also knew that Rita had sources. Like, people would just give her tips out of nowhere! This annoyed her. Lyra got some tips too, but not as much as that bloody Rita. Thank god Rita hasn't written about me yet. Lyra had thought with a small smile on her face. Her blue eyes then looked at her champagne glass. Taking it into her hands, she took a sip of it before placing it down. Her piece of cake had arrived and the waiter gave her a charming smile as he placed it down. Lyra once again gave him one of her charming smiles before looking at her cake and feeling annoyed that he would even dare to flirt with her. While taking a bite out of her dessert, she looked up surveyed the place. People were comming in and making noise. Lyra gave a slight scowl, not enjoying the loudness at all. Sure, Lyra loved to party, but at this particular moment, this former Ravenclaw wanted silence. Her blue eyes darkened, feeling the urge to get up and leave. With her back straightening, she continued to eat her food in silence while tapping her quill, thinking of different ideas to put down. Afterall, she was basically the Gossip Queen back in her day at Hogwarts. Why lay that title down when she had so much to do? The Queen of Slytherin was interesting to research on and though she managed to find lots of..facts about the woman, she decided to keep it to her and the queen. Of course, blackmail really was the key to life. Lyra smiled to herself before looking innocently at the paper. Hmm...perhaps it was time she had some sort of interview? Draco Malfoy was supposed to be having a family dinner at some expensive fancy restaurant. But he had managed to sneak off into a corner in order to get a reprieve from the norms that classified his usual family dinners. Mostly they were a facade for his father to look important and dignified and his mother to show off her latest dress and such. But as of right now, he had too much on his mind then to sit through another facade. His life was full of them and Draco knew not how many more facades he could take.
Draco sitting in the corner, was hiding from not only his family but Rita Skeeter who had accosted him at the table, trying to get an interview. He was so used to her soft of interviews and her conniving behavior. It was nothing knew to him. He was sure she would twist his words around. Being the predator he was when it came to the ladies, he noticed a woman sitting off by herself. He frowned. He knew this lady. Wasn't this one of his former conquests from school? It wasn't like he kept count the really important conquests got written down in his little black book. His little black book was any reporters dreams. It contained the details of every conquest from his days at Hogwarts. With a smirk he pulled out his book, and looked up the girls portrait. Lyra Redfern. His latest attempt at conquest was Astoria Greengrass, but she need not know that. After all, Draco was quite the ladies man, and bachelor of the year.
He got up to the waiter and bought the lady a fruity little drink, a gillywater, and brought it over. He set it down on the table, a permanent smirk on his face. "I do believe Miss Redfern, that my day just got so much better. Care for a drink?" Being who he was, he sat himself down at her table, with a nonchalant smirk on his face. His face almost wickedly proud of himself. He chuckled. "Long time since Hogwarts is it not? I hear you are working for the Daily Prophet, and I myself am surrounded by my father's world of politicks. I'm a school governor, now."

[/color][/b] A light smirk played on her lips, but she continued to look playful. She was quite surprise that he did end up remembering her, but she acted as if it was all too normal. Of course he remembered her. She had given him the time of his life back when they were back at Hogwarts. The witch remembered him always flirting with her and always finding other girls to sleep with. With a sigh, she looked at him with a smile on her face. It's great to see you in good health, Draco. Yes. I work along side with Rita. I did hear that you ended up following in your father's footsteps into the political world. It's great to hear that you're doing fine.[/b] Lyra was careful to tread in these waters about Draco's family, for she knew about the downfall of the Malfoys after the Dark Lord had perished. With another smile, she continued on lightly, I see that you've arrived here with you family. Curious on why you decided to take leave and come visit me. Miss me that much? Don't tell me you still haven't found a girl to settle with yet![/b] She grinned, her voice still in the playful areas. To be perfectly honest, the dark haired beauty was indeed curious on how Draco's love life was. She knew better than to talk to him about personal issues, but this snake didn't really care. Her blue eyes flickered towards Rita who was looking at them with mild interest. Raising a perfect brow at her, the woman looked away, leaving Lyra smiling naturally.
