--- INTELLIGENT ;; Daphne is a very bright young woman. She takes to things quite easily and she is good with memorization. She does enjoy reading, as long as the material suits her fancy. She is rational, usually, unless her dignity and faith is called into question. When it comes to school, she takes to the subjects well, especially potions. She has an uncanny knack for the course and has done exceptionally well. Homework and studying comes easily for her, and she has headed many study groups within her house. Blonde or no, the girl is quite bright, but maybe not as smart as her little sister Astoria is.
--- MANIPULATIVE ;; In part to her intelligence, when Daphne wants something, she will stop at nothing to get it. If it means twisting the truth a little and telling people just the right thing, she will do it. She has the tendency to warp the truth in ways that makes her come out on top. She knows the difference between right and wrong, but typically she ends up on the wrong side. She isn't afraid to go as far as she has to in order to get what she desires. She tends to turn people against each other, if the aftermath benefits her in anyway. If she benefits from it, she'll do it.
--- HARSH ;; Though she is thoroughly capable of being a nice person, Daphne chooses to be rather harsh and unyielding. She has an opinion, especially if it's negative, she won't hesitate to share it with everyone. This makes her come off as a heartless ice queen, when she is capable of being warm. She prefers a more structured way, maybe even cold and calculating at the same time. She doesn't really believe in tact, or at least she didn't until after the the war. Now she is calmed a bit, is less abrasive, but she has her moments.

Being the oldest girl in a family has it's ups and downs. Daphne Greengrass was born to a very wealthy family, and purebloods to boot. She has three older brothers and a little sister, Astoria. Despite being a rather selfish child growing up, Daphne felt the need to stay close with her little sister. She had more in common with her anyhow, seeing as how boys had their toys and the girls had theirs. It was hard for to bond with her brothers, since they were more interested in teasing her and Astoria than really bonding with them. Instead, Daphne decided to be a bit more regal and spent more time with her mother and learned everything from her. The family was known for being social butterflies, throwing extravagant parties for the those in the wizarding world. Due to the family having a great deal of money, Daphne had everything she ever wanted as a child. Soon, the constant doting went to Daphne's head and her selfishness set in.
Her first year at Hogwarts was something of a dream for the young girl, finally being amongst those of her stature, or at least, some. She was sorted into the Slytherin house, not surprisingly where she quickly fell in with the group. She started school the same year that Draco Malfoy as well as the boy wonder, Harry Potter. Daphne had always been somewhat fascinated by the boy's story, but never enough to really interact with him. Besides, she spent most of her time with Draco and his group, as well as becoming a part of Pansy Parkinson's little gang of Slytherin girls. She had found her niche and she wasn't about to give that up, for curiosity.
As she went through classes, she found that her talent was in Potions, something she grew to be rather fond of. She also had been rather fond of the leader of her house, Severus Snape, who was a mentor for the young girl. She advanced quickly in the class, getting high marks in all the exams and assignments. She even attempted to out shine the know it all herself, Hermione Granger in that class. But over the years, it became abundantly clear that something darker was at work at the school. During her sixth year, Dumbledore was killed, revealed to be none other than her mentor himself. Then the division of the school began. During the battle, Daphne was swept in by Draco's band of followers, fighting for Snape and the Dark Lord. Such a thing could be considered ghastly and terrible, but the girl was young. She blinded herself to the truth, unaware of the underhandedness of it all. She continued on with the fight, until she was informed of Snape's demise. Heartbroken and dismayed, the girl hung up her wand and stopped fighting. Now that the war was over and she realized the damaged that she helped cause, Daphne is trying to atone for it. Despite still being a vindictive bitch, she is trying her best to better herself. Her family has become quite closer after the battle. She lost her eldest brother and now she does her best to stay close to her family and being protective over her sister, Astoria.
