There are a few things you should know about this canon list, and characters in general here at let me correct it. Just a few simple things that will make navigating through the dense world of Harry Potter easier. If you have any questions, please don’t be afraid to ask myself, or the lovely dodi. We are both more then happy to help you out.

First, it’s important to know that for all intents and purposes, that for this site the epilogue and anything mentioned about the future of the characters does not exist. The purpose of this site is not to lead up to the future J.K has set out. Of course you are free to maintain aspects of it that you like, but you cannot expect others to do the same. For example, If the Neville role player can, while staying true to the canon character, manage to end up with someone other then Hannah, then so be it. As long as you are true to the books, and we can see a logical in character rational, feel free to take your character anywhere you like.

For the sake of making things easier for those wanting to see what spots are available in Hogwarts houses and years, made-up students will be added to the student canon list and marked as a made up. Another important thing to note when making a student, they all repeated a grade after the war, since that year was interrupted. So they are now a year older then they should be in each grade.

Here at let me correct it we love obscure canons! You’ll notice a lot of names on this list only have last names or are characters you may not even remember. Do yourself a big favour and check out the lexicon. You’ll find awesome character ideas, like the head singer of the weird sisters. Also, there are so many characters who don’t have much said about them that you can just flesh out to your hearts content. It’s awesome.

I haven’t put genders, because I think for most it’s pretty clear but if you are unsure or want to swap a last name only canon’s gender, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

The following symbols may appear behind a character, here is what they mean.

T; » taken
R; » Reserved
M; » Made-up
D; » Deceased (these are to show that the house and year slot cannot be filled, as a new student would not have been invited after their death)
NPC; » These are characters admin may decide for whatever reason cannot be played.
